About the team
Simplehack was founded by Modesto native Ben Long. Ben was most recently at Twitter where he worked for 9 years as an engineer and leader for Twitter's Profile and media-realted products. Prior to Twitter he worked at a few notable startups and Internet companies (Jumpcut, acquired by Yahoo, Yahoo, SnappyTV, aquired by Twitter, Twitter), with a focus on client, media, and brand-related features.
In 2020, Ben and his family returned to Modesto to be closer to friends and family. This was deep into the pandemic and we all wanted to be closer to the people we cared about. During this time Ben continued to work remotely for Twitter.
In November 2022 Ben left Twitter and went on sabbatical, spending time with the kids, and toying with different products and ideas (from Kombucha, to Gardening, and even a little Pokemon). Through it all he maintained a calling to help those around him.
